What is a Starter Pack?

A Starter Pack is basically a package that can contain game access and a launcher. You have to check what content is exactly included in the official store.

It is important for beginners: it is not about the largest or most beautiful ship, but about a working start. A small package is enough to learn the basics.

Why starting small makes sense

Star Citizen works quickly as a ship catalog. This is dangerous for beginners because large ships often need more crew, more knowledge or more patience. An expensive ship does not solve orientation problems.

First learn flying, landing, missions, inventory, stations and risks. Then you know much better what role you like at all.

• A versatile small ship fits if you want to test different basics.
• Cargo bay is relevant if you are interested in delivery and cargo.
• Battlepower alone does not automatically make a ship beginner friendly.
• First use Free Fly when available and only buy if you really want to play.

Starter Pack vs. Standalone Ship

A common beginner error is the purchase of a Standalone Ship, although game access is actually required. A Standalone Ship can be a single ship, but not necessarily a Game Package.

What should you check before buying?

Check first if your PC has the Official requirements and whether or not a Free Fly for testing is available. The store must explicitly contain Star Citizen game access.
